Located right at the waterfront and enjoying privileged unobstructed views to Gibraltar Bay
Atlantic Suites, a new, luxury residential development in Gibraltar is part of the prestigious Europort complex, located right at the waterfront and enjoying privileged unobstructed views to Gibraltar Bay and with the mountains of Africa and Spain forming a perfect backdrop.
Atlantic Suites is located in the centre building of Europort, originally developed as a 14-storey five-star luxury hotel. The influence of the original American hotel design is easily appreciated when looking at the layouts of the different apartment types, with their large living/dining areas, bedrooms averaging 24m2; this influence is also seen in the grandiose entrance hall with its soaring ceiling. Three large-capacity lifts lead from the basement to all floors, with marble tiling in the wide corridors and entrance hall being part of the attractive high-specification finishes throughout.
The 106 residences come in a variety of sizes and layouts, from compact studios of 36 m2 through spacious 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 74 to 225 m2, crowned by the impressive Atlantic Suites itself, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury penthouse which has 267 m2 of living space and runs the entire length of the building, providing panoramic views in all directions and with a 120 m2 private terrace on the roof. Internal fitting and finishing is being done to a very high standard in all the residences, with hardwood flooring throughout the main living areas, and fully fitted kitchens featuring the latest in contemporary Danish design and a full range of Bosch kitchen appliances; many residences have a separate utility room fitted with a washer/dryer. Bathrooms are also luxuriously fitted - there is underfloor heating, a great bonus in wintertime, and decorative ceramic wall and floor tiles coupled with high-quality contemporary sanitary ware. All bathrooms have separate walk-in shower cabins and most bathrooms have a bathtub; except for the studios and the smallest one-bedroom apartments, all the residences have at the very least a separate guest toilet, while most of the larger residences have two or even three bathrooms.
There is plenty of storage space in Atlantic Suites residences - all master bedrooms and most other bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes. In addition, there are fitted storage cupboards in hallways. The homes have heating and a central cooling system (which contrary to air-conditioning does not dry out the air), and the insulated windows feature double glazing, with sun filter-coated window glass. Most homes have one or two terraces, with the Atlantic Suites having 120m2 of terrace area on the roof.
Amenities will comprise a spacious fitness centre and spa and the Atlantic Suites development boasts the largest private gardens in Gibraltar, which encompass an area of approximately 6,000m2 and will include a large infinity swimming pool adjacent to the sea and surrounded by shady palm trees and attractive landscaping. There will also be a platform with decking, allowing the residents to go for a swim in the sea. The garden and its facilities will no doubt provide the ideal, relaxing environment that its residents would expect. Every residence has at least one parking space in the underground garages and there will also be store rooms available in the basement area.
Luxury residential developments in Gibraltar practically sell themselves these days, and Atlantic Suites is no exception to the rule. All the studios as well as a selection of other apartments have already been sold, although there is still a good choice of designs and sizes available. Prices for the remaining residences range from £230,000 for a 76-m2 one-bedroom apartment to £1,750,000 for the 267-m2 Atlantic Suites.
Europort was originally constructed by the large Danish construction company, MTHojgaard, and is known for its unusually high quality and timeless design. To maintain the same high quality MTHojgaard have been selected to construct and complete this development, which is expected to be ready for occupation by autumn of 2005. If the building were to be built today to the same standard of construction, the apartments would easily cost double!
As the main construction has already been carried out the marketing of Atlantic Suites is very much focused on showing what is there. On the website www.atlanticsuites.com, you can see the actual view from each apartment; computer images of the entrance hall, corridors, kitchen and lounge are based on the real building, with real views as the background.
