Sunrise on the Costa del Sol is a breathtaking sight. Just think that over the centuries, this same view has been shared by many civilisations. Upon a historical site in the Duquesa area will arise Mirador del Castillo- a development of over 200 Units, consisting of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and penthouses built to the highest international standard.
Mirador del Castillo will be right on the beach front, and within a 3 minute walk from the "paseo maritimo" to Puerto la Duquesa, with its shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. The land on which Mirador del Castillo will be built has a long and fascinating history, because of its strategic location. The Romans used this as a resting-place for their troops, hence the Roman Ruins on the land and the subterranean water connection to the Roman baths in Manilva. The natives (Casareúos) made a fortress on the site, which was later dismantled brick by brick when the Moors arrived, who found the site an excellent landing place, and the defense towers of what is now known as Casares Pueblo were built. The French used the area to build a Castle to defend themselves against the British, and some settlers made the land into a factory to salt fish. More recently, the Guardia Civil built a quarters here, which was very recently knocked down.
The current landowners have decided to respect the historical value of the land, and will safeguard the existing ruins by building the development around it. The ruins will be cleaned up, preserved and turned into a small museum with public access close to the Castillo.
7 blocks of apartments will be built, all with different heights and spread in a semi-circle, thus offering sea-views to most of the apartments. Two fountains will enhance the ambience of the area, and between the complex and the Paseo Maritimo (which will be extended from the Puerto to the fishermen's village) two pools and a beach club will complete the development.
An underground car park and a golf-buggy park will be available as well as large commercial areas. In the interests of customer protection, it is important to point out that this development is being sold "off-plan," therefore an insurance guarantee is offered to all buyers, protecting all monies paid till the time of the delivery of the apartments.
