"A new European Florida in the Costa del Sol"
Marina de Casares, near Estepona, is the setting for a development of 231 one-bedroom apartments, to be built just 20 metres from the beach below the hilltop town of Casares. Lendal Living Homes are the developers of this self-contained complex, which is designed to incorporate all the latest technology in the fields of security, technology and comfort. The architect and engineer of the complex are A.C Taller de Arquitectura e Ingeneria S.L.
The complex of 231 homes will feature several low-rise blocks built within their own garden, with swimming pool, playground and landscaped areas, all enclosed within a secure wall. There is a reception, which will provide services to the residents and house the control system for the flats and grounds. The control system is comprehensive, comprising security control, detection of smoke and fire, water leaks and intruders, panic and emergency buttons, and lighting control amongst other features. There is also autonomous control in each flat.
The apartments all come in similar layouts with slightly different sizes, and all have a private terrace. The floors are tiled with polymarble, with anti-slip tiles on terraces and communal areas. Bathrooms are part-tiled with good quality tiles and feature a decorative frieze and built-in mirror. Both bathrooms and kitchens have suspended ceilings and are fully fitted with wall furniture and sanitary ware. All taps are monobloc for ease of use. Kitchens have a breakfast bar giving on to the living area. The windows and sliding doors are of white aluminium and all are glazed with Climalit 4-6-4.
Lendal are building this complex to provide a total environment for the residents, with a variety of services on offer, to include maintenance, security, shops and leisure activities. Confident that they will attract an international clientele, they are even offering Spanish language courses. Residents will have access to golf and tennis in the area, which also has a variety of other leisure pursuits available. The N-340 is nearby, providing speedy access to both Gibraltar and Malaga airports.
It is envisaged that the Marina de Casares complex will provide both residential and holiday homes. With an eye to the Costa del Sol's popularity with senior citizens, the apartments and complex grounds are wheelchair accessible, although all ages are welcome.
Prices for apartments range from 66,000 to 90,000 Euros (£41,500 to £56,600), prices that are currently below market value, so these well-constructed homes should be snapped up quickly.
